It all sounds so great, and I love to wander around mirkwood and breath in deeply the fresh...eeh I hope...air. But lvl 65..which char to choose to level up the whole way, already couldn't decide during MoM. So I just start with the happy thoughts of having a .. slow but useful .. goat Big Smile

    Dyewyn - lvl 62 - hunter
Lyonoriel - lvl 50 - loremaster (leveling, one small step for others, one giant leap for Lyo)
Dyemante - lvl 33 - guardian (yours truly)
Dyedaise - lvl 43 - warden (having great fun again!!)
    Dyehard - lvl 52 - runekeeper (nooobkeeper)
    Dyemore - lvl 30 - burglar (Dye's tombraider)
Kaymur - lvl 34 - minstrel (MoraleKnight en Powerdwarf)

Re: SIEGE OF MIRKWOOD LAUNCH ON DECEMBER 1ST

    Some snippets,

Skirmishes will be available to all LOTRO subscribers, but those who do not purchase the Siege of Mirkwood™ upgrade will have only limited access. Specifically, non-Mirkwood players will have their trait ranks capped, will be limited in the number of Skirmishes they can play in a week, and will only be able to participate in a limited selection of Skirmishes.

*cough* come try em for a month when you re-sub L Stick out tongue don't even have to buy SoM

    Also

    • With Siege of Mirkwood, each class will get one skill upgrade at level 62.
    • Special 'Inspired by Greatness' mode in SoM to enable players to complete old Epic Quest content by specially beefing up your stats.
    • We have not changed Hunter's Fleet Stance at this time. :( :( :(
    • The minstrel's post-healing animation root will be fixed in SoM
    • We've considered the adjective"awesomite" for the eventual next tier of crafting.
    • Old CD etc class quest items will be barterable for Skirmish Marks along with tons of cosmetic gear.
    • Three-set of +25 rad from instances to go along with the +15 pieces so you won't need any 'raid' gear in order to try the new one.
    • These new instances pieces all give & use the same item, everyone in the group gets one regardless of HM.
    • The original 3 Legendary books can now be vendor purchased rather than having to farm for them.

You remember back to level 41 ish when we had to find books and pages for legendary skills ... all 3 books could be bought off AH ... 1 book's pages could also be found on AH ... and the other two book's pages came for Angmar and the Mistys in sets of 4... I think they mean those books.

    Surely it should be 'Awesomesauce'

Re: SIEGE OF MIRKWOOD LAUNCH ON DECEMBER 1ST

I don't really care about them other classes so this is just new Cap't & Hunter stuff Stick out tongue

    Hunter:
Barbed arrow no longer sucks !!! apaprently its actually good.
Skills fire faster, meaning if you're spam happy you'll have no power left alot sooner.
New legacies - merciful shot cooldown - S:Precision crit magnitude - +AoE targets (up to 10 rain of... targets :D) - Speed run increase, lol.
Old legacies - Ind/Focus crit now tops at +25% - Needful haste tops at +15sec - Agile self Heal chance now goes up to 50% and heal is much larger.
Port skills can be used from the skills menu, no need to drag them onto a bar.
New armour actually looks nice for a change.

    Captain:
Upgraded skill is the nearly always useless Withdraw... :(
    Slight reduction in power costs.
New legacies - extra 5% morale on MS - Outgoing heals% on emblem
Old legacies - BoE damage tops at +25%
    New armour looks abit pants.

In general, a weapon with good legacies is much easier to find but they will likely all be lower tiers. So instead of grinding crap to find a good one to start with you just have to get the scrolls that improve tier from skirmishes. Less LI crapness is a good thing imo.

Cos of the changes to combat everyone will burn more power as standard so fate will now give more ICPR than it used to.

Vitality now gives more morale per point than it used to (only! for wardens + guardians i think?)

ALL outgoing healing is now affected by Will for some reason, stats capping at 650 now i think as well.

    Also, lots of piccies.
