I've really vanished recently haven't I! In my defence that's partially business, partially because my graphics card overheats when I start playing LotRO. I don't really have enough money for a top spec PC and not sure I have enough time to put my own rig together, so I'm contemplating buying something like this on eBay...

I'm so out of the loop with what's good these days though. That company seems pretty reasonably priced and they have great feedback for their new PCs... Not sure about the graphics card though. I'm not really bothered about hard drive space as I have a network drive that holds most of the stuff, 500GB would be more than enough... But a good processor, lots of RAM and a good graphics card are important.

Choices! I'm feeling the itch to come back and play more and can't!

Heya Lilly :) would be good to see you guys back again :D Though I'm playing less as well at the moment.

Sorry to say though the graphics card listed for that machine can't (I mean *actually* cannot) play 3d games :( its only designed for desktop applications. So you might have to look elsewhere. My last PC came from here and they were reasonably priced, not sure what they are like atm.

Yeah, I did a bit of research after posting that link and discovered that the graphics card isn't the best. I found another one that's a bit more expensive that's much better though so now I just have to wait for a savings account to mature (in May) and I'll be able to get one, yay!

I'll check out that website though, haven't looked at it before but from a quick scan it seems pretty reasonable.

That's the one I'm considering... I put the same spec into that other website and it came about about £20 more so much of a muchness really, but apparently that's got a reasonable graphics card and the processor's pretty good - I'd rather go Intel but AMD is so much cheaper, heh.

I pop into the game when I can now, but I'm often decorating or singing or swanning off with work or just too plain knackered - tis good the game though, lots of pretty nice solo stuff to keep you going if you're there on your own in the new areas n stuff. Hoping to go back to some old book quests now and see if I can solo them - but I think one's still a definite group quest, so maybe I should post and see when people are nearing coming back online.
